Laura “Faye” Draper Wood, 83, went to be with her Heavenly Father Tuesday, December 12, 2017.
A native of Halifax County, Faye was the daughter of the late Roy Maynard and Flaura Outland Draper.
A retired homemaker, she was a member of the Good Samaritan Baptist Fellowship. A devoted Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother, she loved God, Church, and Family!
Faye is survived by a son; Raymond Wood Jr., of Roanoke Rapids: four daughters; Julia W. Shearin (Henry) of Littleton, Susan W. Rolfe (Eddie) of Roanoke Rapids; Sandra Wood of Roanoke Rapids; and Amy Wood of Fort Mill, S.C.; Seven Grandchildren; Michael Harp Jr,. Joshua Shearin, Chris Rolfe, April Shaw, Jonathan Young, Alex Wood, and Morgan Wright; nine Great Grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, December 15, 2017, at 2 P.M. at Wrenn, Clarke & Hagan Funeral and Cremation Service Chapel with Dr. Dennis Gregory officiating.
Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends for one and a half hours prior to the service.
