Sheila, 69, of Roanoke Rapids, NC, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2018.
She was born in Roanoke Rapids to the late Woodrow R. and Willie P. Harris. She was also preceded in death by her great grandson Bentley Michael Emery.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Earl of the home, her son, Rodney Joe Ashby of Virginia, her daughter, Candice Taylor and her husband, Mike, of Roanoke Rapids, step-daughter, Nickie Gibson and her friend, Danny Evans of Spring Hope, her brother Russell W. Harris of Garysburg, two sisters, Mary Thompson of Florence, SC, and Rita McCollum of Gaston, her uncle, Alfred P. Harris and his wife Joyce of Hopewell, Va; four grandchildren, Marisa Merriett, Christian Emery, Zachary Carter and Collin Ashby; two step grandchildren, Joshua Stallings and his friend, Genna Parks, and Aleigha Johnson and her friend Trey Kelley; one great-grandchild, Asher Merriett; four step-grand children, Noah Blake Stallings, Josiah Paul Kelley, Jace Peighton Kelley and Laila May Stallings; two nephews five nieces, several cousins, two sister-in-laws and their spouses; one brother-in-law and spouse; special mother-in-law Carolyn Crowder and her two fur babies, JoJo and Sissy.
Memorial Services will be held Friday February 9, 2018 in the Chapel of Askew Funeral and Cremation Services in Roanoke Rapids at 7 P.M.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
