Mrs. Helen King Pittman age 88 of Blue Sky Road, Halifax, NC died Friday March 21, 2014 at Hampton Woods Nursing Home.
Mrs. Pittman was born August 11, 1925 in Davidson County, NC, the daughter of the late Grady King Sr. and Mamie Everhart King. She was also predeceased by her husband I. Ashley Pittman and a brother Grady King Jr.
She was a member of Weldon Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Pittman Jones and her husband Clint of Roanoke Rapids and Cathy Pittman Shaw of Halifax.
Her brother, Gail King of Lexington, NC. Her five grandchildren, Valerie White Maguire, Charlie Jones, Joe Shaw, Ashley Shaw and Caitlin Shaw.
One great granddaughter Hayley Nichole Shaw.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 28, 2014 at 2:00 PM at
Massey Funeral Home in Roanoke Rapids with Rev. Keith Thomason officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids.
The family will receive friends at Massey Funeral Home Thursday, March 27, 2014 from 7:00 until 8:30 PM and other times at 103 Wedgewood Drive, Roanoke Rapids.
