Billy Ray McLamb, 78, of Roanoke Rapids died Thursday, July 10, 2014 at his residence.
Mr. McLamb was born December 3, 1935 in Johnston County to the late Roy and Edna Parrish McLamb.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers, Keither and Thelton McLamb and his sister Joey Curtis.
Mr. McLamb is survived by his wife Jean Craun McLamb of the home; his son Richard Ray McLamb and wife Robin, of Sanford, Florida; his daughter Teresa Ann “Peanut” McLamb Hux and special friend Jack Brigman of Roanoke Rapids; his grandchildren Shivon Walker, Joshua McLamb; Dale Hux,Brandon Hux and Shane Davis; His great-grandchildren Pamela Walker, Thomas Walker, Austin Moss, Little B Hux and Bryce Hux. Mr. McLamb is also survived by his dog and best buddy, Charlie; his brothers, Kenneth Daniel McLamb and wife, Billie of Benson, NC and Sammy McLamb and wife Willa of Four Oaks, NC; his sister Shelby Jean McLamb Naylor and husband, Dixon, of Clinton, NC.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service with Earl Cain, Minister officiating.
Burial will follow in Crestview Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 prior to the service at the funeral home.
