Roll the tape coach.
Halifax Academy football team opens their 2014 season
Thursday at Rocky Mount Academy.

Most teams spend time watching game film before a game
to learn who they are playing, Not Halifax Academy Wednesday
night. Head Coach Long and sixteen of his Varsity Viking
players traveled to Rocky Mount to watch a different film.

They visited the movie theater to see "When the Game Stands
Tall". It's not about sports, It's not about winning, It's about
growing up, forgiveness, commitment, brotherhood, it's about
standing tall.

The movie is based on Bob Ladouceur, the former head football
coach at De La Salle High School in Concord, CA, which achieved
fame with its national-record 151-game winning streak from
1992 to 2004.

The movie hits a lot of the right notes concerning motivation,
discipline and moral fortitude.
